About Coach

I have always been an athlete since the age of 4. I was a runner through college and beyond, racking up records and awards along the way. I have been a coach of these sports over the years as well. Two of the toughest, most disciplined sports out there, until I entered the world of weightlifting. I have run the Boston Marathon, but I have also won gold medals for Masters Pan Am Weightlifting, was the Master's Nationals Weightlifting Runner-Up, and hold some Ohio State Weightlifting Masters records. I continue to be an athlete and learn every day. All of my experiences, good and bad, drive me to be better, not just for myself, but for the athletes that I coach.

Turning Point

When life brought me major personal struggles many years ago, I became my own worst enemy. I had been told repeatedly that I wasn’t good enough, I never did anything right, your typical emotional and verbal abuse. I was in a pretty dark place, doubting everything I did and how I did it. A friend introduced me to CrossFit and I was hooked. Being surrounded by other strong women, being supported by coaches and athletes was amazing, but I was still my own worst enemy. Self-doubt was my #1 enemy. But over the years, I surrounded myself with the right people, the best support, the right gym, the right coaches, and focused on myself. CrossFit became my therapy, my “go-to”, my happy place. This soon turned to my interest and eventual love of weightlifting. Both these sports, the love of the barbell and helping others achieve their goals has 100% helped me conquer that self-doubt. She doesn’t exist and my goal is to help others conquer their fears and enemies any way I can. I have learned so much along my journey as a young athlete, but even more so as a Master's athlete. Life is simple, have fun, fitness with friends, and do what you love.

Motivation & Passion

Coaching is an absolute passion of mine. I have always been involved in coaching sports since out of college. But, being a CrossFit coach has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my life. I have learned so much in this sport and the sport of weightlifting over the years, that I simply want to share that knowledge with anyone walking in our doors. I was a personal trainer for 17 years, so I understand every hesitation, every doubt, every fear, every frustration. I have been there myself. It is my goal and passion to make each member walking in our doors comfortable, happy, knowledgeable, and successful in their own right. Celebrating each and every success along the way and watching members grow stronger not only physically, but mentally as well - watching them become better versions of themselves is what motivates me as a coach. Each and every day. I’m Italian so my loud and proud personality comes out for everyone when they hit goals, have their “ah-ha” moments with a movement, and simply improve and simply HAVE FUN!
